DSC 1 GLASGOW OR SURROUNDING AREA

Evening gents!

Myself and my brother are looking to do the Dsc1 anywhere around Glasgow or Central belt. Weve both been stalking and foxing for around 10 years but would like to go and get the Qualification . Possibly take our stalking to the next stage eventually a lease. Anyone on here provide this in our area?

Good evening.

I might be wrong but I think BDS were running the DSC 1 near Falkirk but it got caught by Covid. It might be worth giving their website a look.

Hi Stevie, given Tricky Nicky (I have equal contempt for all politicians) is due to do a lockdown update on Tuesday 2nd Feb, and said the other day that our current lockdown measures are likely to remain in place till mid-February, I doubt the BDS course scheduled for early March at Falkirk will go ahead. I was aiming for the mid-May course, but I’m not going to hold my breath in the hope that that will be allowed to take place.

Did mine with Chris Dalton at South Ayshire Stalking. Not exactly central belt, but a really good service.

An hour and a half from here, quick run across to Galston and then the A77 down to Girvan. A not uncommon distance for me pre-lockdown, worth considering.

You're a bit closer than me in Shetland then! Thankfully I was in Glasgow on business at the time, so like you say, not too far to travel.

Recently joined and just noticed this thread.
Chris Dalton (Sth Ayrshire Stalking) is the man, hell of deer stalker and Professional stalker of the year for last two years.
I have been with Chris a a few years now and did DSC1 & 2 with him. Very straight forward guy and very helpful, he has a lot of ground to manage and does lease as well.

There are two vacancies on the Falkirk course run by BDS. If COVID cancels it then it will simply be moved back four weeks. There may be a vancancy on the Carlisle course give Dawn at BDS HQ a call on extension 1.
