DSC 1 querie.

I'm considering taking the DSC 1. Been shooting donkeys years, and taken many a deer in that time, but would like the qualification as many places now ask if you have any qualifications ?.
My question is... Being a crumbling old fart, the only part of the shooting test that concerns me is the 100 yd/m prone shooting. I am disabled, and would really struggle with those shots as I'd need a crane or a team of Schwazeneggers to get me back on my feet again afterwards.
So, would this constitute a fail ?. Or is there a way round this for a disabled shooter ?.
TIA.
Prone is consodered the easiest position so they should allow you any other position, inc sticks. Deercentral are very accomodating

Hi Rat Basher. There are reasonable adjustments that can be made for less able shooters. I have a section on my application forms to detail any such concerns so that we can chat about them and make the course accessible. It requires some foward planning but its never a problem. What I would say is that a fair few experienced shooters fail the shooting assessment so practicing the assessment format ahead of time is key! Best Regards, Ben (Deer Central)

I seem to remember back, way back when, people who were genuinely disabled were accomodated in shooting positions ........... amputees / wheelchair users etc.

Thanks Ben. Once I have a suitable rifle, I'll take the next step. :)
