Easy grow wildflower seeds

Can anyone recommend a wildflower seed mix to me. I want something that I can have a sack in back of gaitor, and as I go around on daily checks, stopping here& there and scattering some seed in field margin/hedgerow area. Something that doesn't need much more prep or care than that.

@jall55 thought you might know mate.

Cheers

So it worked, just scatter on bare soil? Put any on grass? Hoping ewes might trample seed in a bit....

Hi there

I've used these to great effect. There are loads of different combinations.

I just scattered them in the hedge bottom and roughly raked them in mate
Some came better than other - the mallow really came strong

Think i have some pictures i will dig out

Cheers mate I'll have a shop around tonight. Without being too precious, any idea on your grams per m²? Big variation some saying 3g others saying 20!!

The issue isn't growing them it is keeping them growing as they are easily out competed by grass. The plant I'm struggling with is wood anemone, I planted 250 back end of last year and can't see any are coming up :worried:

Ive been gifted some woodland/shade seed mix so going to get that in ground in next couple of weeks.

Did you spray existing weeds off before planting anything?

I would not spray off Ben - you just never know what might come up
We need to get away from spraying everything off

If you've a large area you either spray it off, several times, fence off rabbits and manage it and after 5 years you'll have your meadow or manage it by mowing and reduce the fertility of the soil and after 10 years you'll have a meadow. Some areas I have sprayed, some I have left.
