Eaton Hall Rifle Range

Evening All,

Was on the socials and saw a video of Eaton Hall and they were speaking about a full bore rifle range. Looked on their website and there wasn’t a huge amount I could see about it. Apart from a membership that was available for it.

Does anyone know any details about it and if it is open?

TIA

reception didnt know anything about anything other than clays when I rang
but we can see the .22LR and airfifle range on YouTube
fullbore was a mystery word for them

Went in on Thursday snd asked, not 100% on charges but I was quoted an annual fee of £250 and then an hourly fee.
10 x 100mtr X number of 200mtr and a 300 mtr tunnel. Not sure of my level of shooting warents the cost when I have perm I can use. But obviously not a 300mtr tunnel, but I can pick calm days to do load development.

Should be open in a few weeks.

The yearly fee is £250.. Then its £20 an hour.. The running boar is £100 an hour. It very nice and a lot of money has been spent on it. You would have to range shoot a lot to make it pay.

Has anyone actually been here yet?
Do you have to be a member to use the facility or can you book a lane on a pay as you go basis?

I am planning on going to a an event there at the end of next month so will have to see, I believe you will have to be a member to use the facility based on some of the people I know nearby who shoot rifles who have enquired there.
The yearly fee isnt bad, but that hourly range fee seems quite steep. Would imagine it being a lot more for the hour for non-members, I know of one range in Scotland that wanted to charge me £70 just for the hour to "zero" as a non-member

i was looking at joining until they broke the news you had to use a mod to shoot on the range so all my 'target' rifles i couldnt shoot with which is annoying considering on a video they are talking about how quiet the design of the tunnels are for non mod shooting and how the difference is minor. Need to query this when i am next there about it although hopefully it may be temporary?

i have been there, bare in mind you need an induction prior to using, the induction is about 90 mins long.

i shot 3 rounds into the target for confirmation i was competent and then went to do some clays as rest of the family were waiting for me.

i may go back this sunday to zero the 22 and 17HMR as just swapped scopes over

when i was there the 300m range was not open, just the 100m and 200m. it was about 3 weeks ago.

Yes it’s a bit of a shame that it’s members only. I get it. But it would have been worth a trip with two or three rifles over 100 200 and 300 then bang some clays. Oh well back to the field

Was this procedure for you shooting just as a visitor or as a new member?

If you reload and shoot six times a year... £250 to become a member £40 per two hours x by six visits = £240 works out at £81.60 per visit

Looks pretty tidy on the website, but £250 to join and £20 an hour.............no thanks, and I am not too far away from them.
