I’ve got a little Nilfisk C-120 which I bought for about sixty quid when I needed a quick replacement years ago. It’s done ok and specs don’t seem too bad for a little thing (120bar / 430l/hr) so I’m reluctant to drop a load of money on a marginal upgrade in performance.

I have a lot of stone flags to wash down a couple of times a year otherwise they are like an ice rink. I’ve tried the spray on stuff and it’s not been great plus difficult to find time at the minute to spray and “allow to dry” before dogs or chickens wander all over it so one of those spinning patio cleaners is my weapon of choice.

Any thoughts on Stihl stuff? I was looking at this one: STIHL RE140 PLUS Max 180 Bar Cold Water Pressure Washer 510 Ltr/Hr
 
Dad uses a Stihl 118 on the farm, I've got one too. Dad will kill most in 3_4 years. This one I've just replaced the switch on it, it's got to be 10 to 15years old. It's been great. There a very good washer with a good long hose.

Whatever you get make sure the electric point and/or flex is close/long enough. Using an extension lead on a pressure washer burns them out
 
The Nilfisk are very hard to beat for quality v price ratio. I bought an E-140 in a sale 6 years ago and it still works as good as it did from day 1. If memory serves me right they have the brass internal fittings as opposed to most others in that price range using the plastic fittings.
 
I cannot remember the model but it wasnt high end of the sthil range used it weekly for 20 yrs plus.
And it took a workshop fire to kill it,not because it wouldnt work but because the fire brigade said replace it because the toxic smoke would have damaged it!

Brass fittings is the reason I recently replaced my original Nilfisk with another one. I was disappointed to find they have now changed to plastic fittings.

I had a couple of this firm can't fault them and on the 1 occasion I needed a spare part it was not an issue advice on fitting the part was freely given
the hot washer we are using at the moment is 15 years old.
 
Needed a pressure washer in a rush so got a cheap Clarke one from Machine Mart. Impressed with it and better than my broken Karcher it replaced for a lot less money.
 
I have a Karcher, had it for about 6 years and used most weeks, does what it says on the tin. BUT the hose is the most stress inducing product know to man...............
