Due recognition for Cambs Firearms's (include Beds & Herts) professional service in what must be difficult times: FAC (& co-terminus SGC) renewal submitted ten weeks before old ones expired: polite and efficient 'phone call six weeks later, correct renewals on doormat two weeks after that and so in plenty of time to avoid the dreaded no certificate scenario.

Same force, different story.

Renewal application submitted in April, 12 weeks ahead of expiry along with Doc's notes and payment. Payment taken same day.
11 weeks later, phone call from FEO - "everything is OK but I see you have a .223 on your possessed list - we have no record of this"
I give the relevant information on date of purchase (Dec last year), RFD details and rifle details. FEO is happy with this and tells me it's being progressed.
Second phone call two days later - "everything is still OK - do you still want a .223?". Yes please says I. "OK, I'll get this sorted now because I'm on holiday next week"
Three days after expiry of old certificate, still no sign of the replacement so I send an online request along with a text message to the FEO (up to the present time, neither have been responded to).
Eight days after expiry, new certificate arrives - dated two days after after the expiry of my old one and missing the .223 that I bought seven months ago.
Send another online request that again, has not been responded to.

BTW, the licensing team contact number given on the website, does not accept incoming calls.

Someone has dropped the ball somewhere.
