Just popped into my emails. I do have a nervousness about electric vehicles and this will undoubtedly be Chinese but.............................. 🤔

No connection, just interested in the concept. Wonder whether my generator would fit on the back .......

10 hours battery life, that sounds very good, so real world stuff 7/8 hours depending on the terrain. That still looks good to me

I was thinking the other day how an electric quad would be good for stalking. Loads of torque, just keep an eye on the battery in the winter

I like the thought of an electric foxing vehicle... unfortunately, the farm purchased a new Kawasaki Mule with the same noisy diesel engine that the Gator has fitted... the boss's wife hates the new Mule as it's loud and drums because it has doors, unlike the Gator which is bad enough.... the most annoying bit is the farm lad that did the buying had an open chequebook to buy anything...

Is the dreaded Vat on top of that, pity that it is not raid legal I would love one
Appears to be VAT inclusive but IMHO it's still a lot for what's probably cheap Chinese cr@p - I do like the idea though:rolleyes: Might have a lo0k at TEMU, etc to see what else is around...........

22 Stone! One decent red and the rider will be walking beside it with the Blue Tooth remote steering fob

There used to be a manufacturer in the U.K. a number of years ago, but can’t find them now. I did have a look and getting a warranty of 3 months on a battery pack (according to one site) would have me running away.

You'd need deeper pockets but a bit more civilised.

I’d take a good look before labelling it Chinese crap
I agree that most Chinese goods are garbage but look at CF Moto

Some of the stuff they put out is superb and is too good to ignore any longer .

They do get quite good reviews, but apparently can't be made road legal, ok as long as you don't go on a public highway, they also seem a lot smaller than a traditional quad, I saw an average size bloke on one and it looked like a kids model.
As to electric utv's, I spoke with an main dealer and was advised against it, apparently battery and range just aren't there yet, especially if towing or when loaded the range goes drastically down, shame as theres an excellent youtube vid of an aussie who has one converted to use for foxing and drives it like a mobile highseat

Lead acid battery!
Bet there’s not many Teslas with those batteries.
Thought they’d been confined to the scrap bin with all the Creedmoors 😘
Ken.

10h battery life, 40-50 km, that’s not taking into account of steep, wet, and laden weight.
I use my quad daily and cover roughly 80-100 mile a day ish. Max rider weight of 22 stone, again, I’m not overly slim… 21 stone, but I still manage to put 7 30kg bags on my can-am and get about fine on fairly steep ground.
I don’t believe electric vehicles are there for “keepers” I had an electric Polaris, and the hisun on demo as the boss and agent was keen Togo “green”. As I pointed out 1/2 way round feeding when I ran out of battery if I had 2 or 3 it might be practical as while one charges I can use the other. But that wasn’t enough, so when I had to make a call at early hours of the morning for them to come and collect me as apparently using a lamp in one dramatically reduces battery and runs out about a hour and a half.
