English Boar vs European

Midsommer
There is another camera at the spot and as can be seen by it's IR is glowing white and stron i.e. is triggered by the same pigs. Boar does not seem worried but when a scope's IR is pointed at their direction they most often start to panic. Different wave lenghts I'd suppose.

Yes, older boar goes into sausages/hamburgers or to the dogs. Younger ones can become deli i.e. smoked/dried or chops. Some end up as sunday pork steak.

The DNA of virtually every single European game animal is a mess due to centuries of interference and deliberate introductions.
I very much doubt that there is any such thing as an English boar, or a European one for that matter.
UK domestic pig breeds are heavily influenced by imports of Chinese pigs which are descended from the Asian sub species of wild boar Sus scrofa moupinensis as opposed to the European Sus scrofa scrofa. The feral Scottish ones look to be way too long in the back for a true European wild boar and appear to be more like the so called "Iron Age Pigs" that occasionally turn up on TV shows, working museums and the like.
