These peas have been in a few days also with the line of oaks crisscross this field the "turns" around them often get a double hit with the seed,
the farmer has a new broom stick so said he would like to see how it handles as it is a 32", I pushed a good heap off then the usual back and forth with kit and then get the truck out of range!
Lots of birds wanting to get in but I clapped the 50/60's off as you might get a pair but educate the rest, that was the case for a while but then they started coming in much smaller numbers.
Then it started to pick up so I called him as they were busy on the other farm but he had arranged some time out, he is a very good game shot but soon got the measure of the new gun! Team shooting pushed the bag on quite well then he had to go back and load some grain, I carried on with him returning later on.
121 picked with the usual dropping into distant hedges! Finn is to young for any days out so left them both at home.

nice bag, have got 6 fields to go at this weekend. hoping more birds have moved onto them by then.

friend just texted he had 71 today so there is hope

Nice day out mate, Finn has made the grade then , I had a look today over some new planting not a bloody bird in sight, farmer I saw yesterday said the field was heaving with em day before yesterday Sod’s Law I guess, pleased you had a gooden well done Tim

Timing is key Phil, just looked out the window and they are flying into those fields as i type.
