ePos Units - any recommendations please?

If I do go down the farmer's market sales route, does anyone have any advice or recommendations for a good reliable system for taking electronic payments that doesn't cost the earth to buy and/or levy a hefty % on every sale please?

We've started using Sumup at our Club or taking card payments. I think it is 1.69% charge per transaction which is acceptable to us. Needs a WiFi connection and is very simple to use. I also think the hardware was none too expensive, but we do not have a printer with it.

Unsure how it compares to other similar systems, but it works for us.

Regards

Mark

I should have said, on the SumUp service used by the taxi company it offers the ability to email a receipt, which is a pretty useful thing to have. I am not sure if it needs WiFi or just to be tethered to a mobile with 4G, but I'd suspect the latter.

Inded, our dog groomer (Teckel - never had the need with our Vizslas) uses SumUp and emails me the receipts - it's a bluetooth device, tethered to a mobile.
