I just wondered if anyone has one of these or knows what they're like. A hell of a lot of people seemed to have bought them at the the Newark show, I see they have a three year warranty. My experience of semi-autos is of constant jamming etc.

They are ok for a budget auto, 3" is more reliable than the 3 1/2" a friend sells a lot of them they are based on old berretta technology . DF

I've had one for a year or so now and it's a fine gun for the price. I got mine S/H as I wanted something that I would not be too bothered if it took a beating round the farm and in the woods (which it does). They can be fussy feeders mine hated Sipe's but feeds well with Gamebore black gold and RC50's when the need arises. Depends what you want and what you want to pay really......

All of the "cheapies" have quirks. My mate's Escort is just as fussy as my Stoeger. Mine HATES 67mm carts but will deal with all 70mm and above from 24g onwards. But having said that my mate hasn't had any mech problems, it's just fussy on carts.

Good value gun for the price tag, if your budget will stretch it the Winchester SX3 is better, if money not an object the Benelli M2 is a wonderful gun.

Just bought a 20g FAC version chambered in 3", seems to cycle with no problems, holds 7+1, very light in weight and is well balanced

Dont do it mate, save your pennies up and buy a Benelli,inertia self loading, in 7 years of owning mine I have never had a single jam,even after I plunged it into 3 feet of sea water,pulled it out,tipped the water out, checked for obstructions,then shot 2 mallard,try doing that with a hatstand.

Good guns. If you strip them down and lightly stone (I used my lanksy stones) the bottom of the bolt and where it rides on the carrier, feeding with light cartridges is greatly improved. It only needs a light touch and most of the blueing remains, it just deburring and accelerating running in that happens eventually.

Had mine for years and had no issues at all with it, cycles everything from 28g bird shot to 42g SGs and all stops in between (though I will say it is 'agricultural' and definitely built to a price). By all accounts they had a particularly sorry couple of years (Hatsan won a big military order and as their production went up the quality went down) but I am led to believe they got over that hump.

when i got my benelli the underkeeper got an escort so both guns got more or less the same dayly use and abuse , the escort just about fell apart inside a year , i still have the benelli . To be fare this was maybe 12 years ago , the escort was alot cheaper , time moves on and maybe the quality of build has improved
