For some reason Mankind (oops already strayed from the preferred terminology) has always sought some sort of religion to follow.
Seems to me "man-made (oops, there I go again) climate -change" is just the latest iteration. Yes the climate changes, it always has.
From a friend of mine...
"The high middle ages were all about the medieval warm period which was then followed by rapid transition into the Little Ice-age. Famines and plagues thereafter ensued (for some reason, plagues usually come with rapid cooling of climate)... Historically, no detrimental effect to civilization or ecosphere has ever been observed with transitions from colder to warmer climate. It is the coolings that are catastrophic.
Warming means a wetter and more fertile planet*. I can't stand climate idiots who envision that warming will "turn Earth into Tattoine". Quite the opposite in fact. Desertification was at its peak during glaciation periods with lowest CO2 levels and lowest global temperatures. More CO2 means more plants, warmer planet means more evaporation, more moisture in the air means more thermal inertia which stabilizes weather and evens out climate across the globe. In essence, the complete opposite of everything the mouth-breathing climatists believe"
* Surely this benefits a burgeoning global populace? Warmer weather= more food?
Yes maybe plant disease will increase but given the widespread adoption of GM that is not necessarily a factor of concern?
As has already been said on this thread, it is more about control, along with the deliberate and ongoing creation of division - "divide and rule" - than it ever is to do with concern for our environment.
It is imo "anti-humanism" at work.
