Hi all is it correct that there is a proposal to change expanding ammunition fron s5 to s1 in parliament?
would this mean we could then purchase expanding bullets by the post for reloading?
Thanks orion I wasn't aware that you could purchase expanding bullets from the EUYou can purchase expanding bullets by post already.
Just order from a supplier in the EU and they get sent to your door - provided your FAC allows you to possess them and you don't exceed whatever quantity you are allowed.
Also has the potential to save you some money or obtain products that may not be available in the UK.
I do like the amendment to allow your current certificate to run on indefinitely whilst the police have your application languishing in a tray that looks like the Empire State Building. I agree that it may well be seen as a get-out clause for the police to take as much time as they want, but, frankly, if it takes them 5 years, where's the problem? Wouldn't help much with applications for grants or variations though.

I thought that all projectiles, that is bullets or bullets heads(regardless of being expanding ammo or not), were fully controlled items that required sale or release from an RFD in the UK? So I cannot see how they can be legally received by post? Reloading Solutions for instance record all of my bullet purchases on my FAC as if they were live rounds. Please tell me if I am wrong.
