I have been shooting for as long as I can remember air rifles and shotguns up until February last year. I got my firearms licence for a 17hmr and started shooting a lot of fox’s on the farm. I applied for a 243 recently and it was refused as the land I live on wasn’t deemed suitable for it so they let me have a 22-250 so carried on with that reducing the fox numbers. But ideally I want to get in to deer stalking. We don’t see that many deer on our land so understandably my dad doesn’t want them shot. And as land near me is mostly taken for deer stalking it’s hard to get a 243 on my ticket. So I’m looking for Munt jack stalking or Chinese water deer stalking as that’s all I can shoot with my calibre.
