FAC Air - Rapid 7

I've seen the same! I'm still wondering if the MK2 is worth the extra, compared to the MK1?!
Well set up and balanced a mk1 is plenty good enough. I fitted a Dr bobs quick fill and gauge to mine. For me, it was a worthwhile improvement. No need to remove the bottle to fill, and you know how much air is in it at a glance.

Had one years ago and foolishly sold it, tempted to get another one at some stage, good solid workhorse.

No I bloody don’t overrated, overpriced crap and yes I had two and both went back because of problems , in fact out of 6 weeks of owning one of them , daystate had it 4 out of the six weeks

I sense you won’t be going for a hat trick then

I've had umpteen Rapids over the past 20 odd years. I've had 2 on certificate, one an early mk1 and one of the last made, a mk2.
The requirement for another came up and I actually bought back my original mk 1.
A doddle to work on if it requires a service. In my experience the FAC ones seem to be messed with less as the sub 12 ones were so easy to put over the limit, "umn-messed with" ones were hard to come by.
Mine is a tack driver and I fitted a Dr Bob's quick fill and it has a nice thumbhole stock. The lack of regulate and Gamo trigger have never been an issue.

Either mk 1 or 2 will both be excellent rifles as mentioned they are very reliable and easy to fix.

I have a fastflowed MK2 @ 30ftlbs and it's brilliant.

They may be old and heavy compared to the newer stuff but for a simple to maintain accurate hunting rifle they are very hard to beat.

I had a mk1 fac . Was OK fun for a while but impractical as not enough gain over 12 ft lb and not as versatile or easy to maintain as a 22 lr bolt gun . Very niche thing , pita fixing stuff
