Factory none lead based anmunition recomendations

Thank you for the replies. I'll try to source a box of the Barnes TTSX 130grn Factory Ammo and the Fox 150grn ammo to try.

I wonder what powder is being used in the Barnes TTSX Factory Ammo? The homeloads I trialled with the 130grn TTSX were at 2820fps using 46.5 grn of N140. Does that seem a bit slow?
I run the 130g TTSX at 3000fps as a general rule with complete satisfaction and can achieve that MV from a 20 inch barrel with a compressed load of N140 or a non compressed load of N135. Previously I used H4895 but that is no longer an option.

My bad, but even so if land owner, shoot syndicate of whatever stipulates factory ammo, then you should use it. Things like land owners insurance will be driving such decisions.
Yes home loaded ammo may be more accurate etc, but if you have a rifle that cannot shoot factory ammo well enough to shoot deer there is something fundamentally wrong with the rifle.

And over the years there too many accidents caused by faulty home loaded ammo - especially if used in another rifle for which it wasn’t developed. Chamber a round which has its bullet seated long into another rifle you will get a huge pressure spike.

Fundamentally if a landowner, or guide, or shoot organiser stipulates particular type of ammo, moderator etc you have a simple choice - either comply, or use an estate rifle or go elsewhere.

Not questioning the fact that a few rounds of factory ammo will be the cheapest part of the day.

i do question assumptions like land owners insurance, are you saying one would go shooting without personal insurance such as BASC and have yet to see any such insurance that prohibits home loads.

Then the, over the years there too many accidents caused by faulty home loads, where is your data coming from to substantiate such a claim? bet the hmr is miles in front on that.

How much N140 do you use to achieve 3000fps (or just short of this)?

Did you settle on an amount of N140 to use with the 308 130gr TTSX?

on the wrong side but we have lots of 308 non lead in stock
Sako, Federal, Hornady, Geco, S&B, Fox, Peregrine etc

we supply Fox and Peregrine to a National agency that uses Sako 85s so I can guarantee it shoots in those rifles

I stuck with 46.5 Grn of N140 with the 130grn TTSX. Does around 0.5 MOA at 100m and 2820fps which is good enough for me / the deer. I don't want to chase extra velocity with N140 as I will start to get some very compressed loads and want to avoid that. I haven't ran quickload on that load yet however I suspect N135 would be better suited if you wanted more velocity.
