Fallow behaviour cold snap

As MS quoted . As the sun comes up and the frost is melted there food becomes more available to them , if they can get to a nice sunny spot out of the cold
wind . They will move around all day finding thawed out the patches .

Chill

Definitely find animals more active in cold dry weather like this. I also love getting out on still frosty mornings.
However lockdown walkers and kids on sledges aren't really helpful on my ground over last few wks. 😒

Do you happen to know who might own the land or who manages the land? Its within driving distance and would happily help out to manage the population. Don't know the area that well though.
If its the land inside the m25 then my mates shoot that. If its the land on the outside of the 25 then some other mates shoot that

Saw a huge herd (around 50+) deer in the middle of a field just off the junction between M25 and A12. They were grazing right in the middle of the field and I was surprised at the numbers. Looked too big to be Roe and it has to be Fallow unless there's Sika around there. Not sure who owns the permission out there but its one good permissions to have.
They (Fallow)are always there..
Plenty have tried to get the permission, But the owners won't let anyone shoot them as he feels their numbers are currently too low.

That’s a well known group of fallow that are rarely shot on that land. They can often be seen there, taunting passing stalkers 😂

I’ve noticed very little behaviour difference plenty of deer out feeding and in the woods.
I’m taking plenty off around the M25 A12 corner and nearby areas.
