Fallow rut 2023

Icm heading out tomorrow morning in East Sussex to check out a rutting stand that's usually full of action. I've not heard any noise though this week so far so hoping I can just bump one in the woods at least.

Going well here now. I will try and get some pictures tomorrow. But a quick question can you take pictures from video from a c50?

Saw a couple of does in the woods but Jo bucks at all. Rutting stand is showing signs of activity with loads of scrapes a d churned up ground but no bucks today anywhere near it.

Lots of mature bucks around the stand in west Dorset with lots of grunting. Some cracking bucks showing and some old cull animals to take.
I've never seen a fallow outside of a petting zoo in the US, but is that a particularly large bodied fallow? Beauty!!

I haven't been out due to covid but heard reports of some fallow grunting in South Hampshire. Maybe just about to start although temperature increase won't help.

Nowt happening in my part of Hampshire yet.
Spoke too soon 😁

Out this evening & watched a buck scraping & marking then the grunting started!

Still a bit early though as temp too high really, ordinarily wouldn't expect it to start for another 10-14 days here but probably add another week to that this year!?
