One of my favourites, John Wayne in the film Train Robbers.

" I hate to have to tell you this, Ben, but whether you like it or not. you're a man and you're stuck with it. You'll find yourself standing your ground and fightin' when you oughtta run, speakin' out when you oughtta keep your mouth shut, doin' things that seem wrong to a lot of people but you'll do them all the same."

Tha int no good sittin thare thinkun a all the things in life u want n u aren't gonna get, jus think of all the things in life u dont want, n u aren't gonna get!!
Sidney Grapes, Boy John letters. Potter Ham.

In no order of importance!

1. John Wayne:
"Too much gun."

2. Kenneth Williams:
"Infamy, infamy, they've all got it in for me."

3. Richard Jefferies:
"To the soul, there is no past and no future; all is, and will be ever, in now. For artificial purposes time is mutually agreed on, but there is really no such thing."

My uncle was in the SAS in the Falklands crisis. He was parachuted in with a magazine of twenty cartridges, a bayonet and a bottle of whiskey. He was told that this was a mission that he may not return from. He jumped and landed, shook himself off and thought right here I go. He drank the bottle of whiskey and got stuck in. Twenty shots twenty dead. Bayonet presented fell as they came. Left with only his rifle he carried on and took his toll with the rifle butt . Asked for a quote when he got back to blighty he said don't fu(£ about with me when I've had a drink.

Back when I was picking beans in Guatemala, we used to make fresh coffee, right off the trees I mean. That was good. This is sh*t but, hey, I'm in a police station.
