Fear and panic!

I wanted to try those bullets @cjs66 sent so loaded a few up with red dot.
That's when fear gripped me and I dropped 5.5gn instead of my usual 6.5gn!
Loading wise the bullet, not intended for3030 has a crimp groove but if it's showing in a 3030 case it will touch the lands and prevent proper lock up possibly causing miss fires.
In the photo below you can see a rifling mark on the bullet to the top ( I seated it deeper before the photo). Seated so the groove disappears and everything is err well groovy!

So up the farm I fired the first and it was very uneventful! It sounded like 2" 410. The second shot nothing happened except for the sound of gas leaking 🤦
Bugger, I now had a stuck bullet!!

Back home I stripped the rifle down and dropped a brass rod on the bullet that was only 2" from the muzzle and it moved. Under the weight of the brass rod the oiled bullet soon fell out. Phew.
I should of know better to not be frightened of a little bit of red dot 🙄.
Hopefully get back on it later.

The panic was that I had got a real stuck bullet that wasn't going to come out! But on the way home I thought about it.
The case stopped sealing the breech and the bullet was completely swaged.
It had simply ran out of steam.

So this morning I dumped the idea of using red dot and dug the cherished unique out! That never fails!
Dropping 7.5 gn under these heavy silver tips sent kindly by @cjs66 has given me an instant rabbit load touching close to the speed of sound.IMG_20250302_101858.webp
Initial shots were at 40yds but then I moved back to 60yds.
Here is a video, remember I have to single feed these!

And the result at 60yd.

This rifle in 3030 is the do it all combination.

Thank you very much @cjs66 👍🏻
