Again forgive my ignorance but why is that important? Does it dictate what quarry you can take down or is it just if she’s a tad heavy she’s slower a bit like horse racing?
Cracking underrated hawks had some great sport with a Male a few years ago will definitely teach you how to respect a large hawk and a thing or two about weight management if you want to get the best out of the partnership, especially if you're thinking of eventually flying a goshawk
Took a couple of hares with the Male I flew .
The most pain I've ever felt was when my female put her talon through my glove and my finger and pinned me to the ground for about 20 minutes. Every time I tried to move she gripped harder!
She really didn't want to give up the first rabbit of the season, was a pussycat generally.
I never did manage to get all the blood out of the finger of the glove!
