Fibre wad steel shot wildfowling cartridges

Does anybody make a fibre wadded steel shot cartridge for use on the foreshore for ducks and geese. I hate plastic wads as they don’t break down. Even better would be a paper case in the event you don’t find an empty case.

Good question given each plastic wad has the same plastic content as a plastic bag and one would chuck them around the contryside.

I recall recently that Eley were going to introduce a plastic wad that bio-degrades in salt water within 24Hrs. Think they were going to issue it when the season starts. Their web site should have something on it.

I've always had concern that these bio-degradable wads would somehow break down inside the cartridge over the long term. So I've never been interested in them as an alternative to fibre wads.

I think they need to define biodegradable, many of that description just become microplastics, they do not decompose, but break up!
