Forgive the confusion when you refer to yourself as a newbie in your introduction and mention you're just applying for your FAC!!

Everything you are saying relies on having a computer and the Internet, all the time, some people have a bad Internet connection, some people believe it or not don't use the Internet or have a computer. Only ever carried out one transaction at a public location, a service station, with a serving traffic officer no real issue!!

Hi Happy New Year. Yes i've just applied for my FAC here in Scotland after a 10 year break and moving from Warwick. When I came up I didn't have anywehere to shoot over but kept my SGC. I now have a .17HMR (replacing my old .22 Bruno) and a 25-06 Schultz & Larsen for Roe/foxing etc. The land I shoot over is a wee bit small for the S&L so i've just applied for an additional 22-250.

You're right not 'everyone' has Internet connection but the number without is very small and most RFD's now need an electronic register, most businesses need the Internet to function and this is spreading into daily life. Tax Disks, banking, MOT's - why not SG and FAC's ?
