people always forget the metal side of Howa is a Sako clone.

Apart from the mounting system, trigger, etc... it really isn't! This was an oft repeated fallacy. As I recall, as close as Howa got was they bought some old Sako machinery.

Description

Dickson-Howa Golden Bear, .30-06 cal. bolt action rifle. Serial #A2730H, mfg. Howa, Japan. Excellent condition. 24” barrel has excellent bore, hooded ramp front sight. Barrel and receiver have excellent blue. Trigger guard and floor plate have slight edge wear. Sako-inspired stock has excellent glossy finish and checkering with few light marks. Fitted with Bushnell Scopechief 2.5x-8x variable scope with clear optics, plain cross hair. Bolt action works smoothly. Very high quality Sako copy - rarely seen!

I’ve had a 22lr on my license for a couple of years and great around the farm for rabbits etc, Seems like Tikka it is then !! Think I’ll drop into Shooting Supplies in Worcester at the weekend and see what they have.

They had a nice CTR when I bought my T3 from there a few weeks ago. Don’t forget a range capable mod - wildcat or SL5
