First attempt on the burgers !

Hi Carl,
Any four spare, I would not mind trying some home made goodies, seeing that I do not have a mincer yet. It has been debated a few times though so it's just a matter of how good they are and which mincer?

They look good, but 4 x 1/4lbers at £5 is quite expensive? That's £5/lb or £11/kg. You say it is your first go. Have you actually sold any at that price?
MS

I used to make sausages a couple of years back.
2x roe and 2 sides of pork belly.
Venison, pork, rusk, casings, flavourings, mincer, sausage maker, vacuum packer, bags and a good few hours of intensive labour. I got asked often if they were for sale but to even cover costs the price would be off putting to say the least.
£5/lb sounds like a bargain to me.

Exactly, people don't realise the time it takes to process into burgers/sausages and additional costs.
Bargain at £5/lb
Cheers
Richard

I don't do many sausages but burgers I do.
which ever variety I do course mix meat with seasonings fry a little, off to try if yummy bingo if not alter to taste to your likening.

One thing I have found for burgers are the schwartz grill mate seasonings come in a variety in pots only need a good tsb of seasoning to a kilo of meat. Not worth chopping your own sourced seasoning and herbs.
