Same as KUIU, mail order only.
Mail order only, but they won’t mail to the UK.
I get it by buying online via PayPal. Then send to relatives in Colorado. They re-pack and post on to me. It’s a ball ache, but I really rate their stuff, with the exception of one or two things (the ‘uncompagre’ puffys are not a patch on Rab, and the waterproofs are well designed but not robust enough for proper stalking use - they go at the knees in a few outings and get torn to shreds fast). The merino stuff and their fleeces are absolutely outstanding- which is what they made their name with.

I should add that their camo is probably the best commercially available camo. I have colleagues who work on animal camouflage, and who really understand what works and what doesn’t from the perspective of animal visual systems. They rate the Firstlite Fusion pattern as genuinely excellent.
First lite don’t do their own backpacks.
Exo use their camo, though.
The Exo backpacks are absolutely outstanding, both as a hunting backpack and as extremely flexible general use. The meat shelf idea is fantastic for dropping in tents and dry bags.
And Exo DO post direct to the UK!
Yes - separate companies.
But as I say - EXO will post to the UK. I ordered a backpack from them in July, and it was here inside 10 days.
I imagine things will be a touch slower now...
Hi all, I appreciate this is an old thread, however I have the opportunityto get some FL kit due to a relative going on holiday to the States, and would like to get some advice if possible.
Looking at their baselayes in particular, which model do you use? I appreciate they give temp ratings, but have found that due to our high humidity levels here that sometimes skews things.

It may have changed, but when I tried to order in the summer, that's where it started to get complicated.
If you were trying to order from within the UK, you couldn't just check out as normal for an online order. You had to email them directly to say you wanted to buy something. They would then get back to you, and ask for the stock codes for what you wanted. After you did this, they would get back to you with the price (adjusted for UK taxes and postage). You then needed to transfer the money to them. I lost interest at this point.
It's possible they've streamlined it now.

I emailed FL a few years ago asking if they would be willing to import to a UK distributor ( I had a good lump of money left to me in a will and thought I'd try and make an investment on it) and they said they had absolutely no interest in selling in the UK....
Kind of odd, Much like Under Armour not wanting to sell their camo stuff in the UK also. Guess they don't see the UK as a big market share compared to the US/Canada

I’ve had several interactions with them that have convinced me that they are bast*rds, with no real interest in the customer, regardless of location.
I’m not certain, but I think they’ve gone the route of many other outdoor equipment brands: start small, produce really good stuff, attract major attention, expand like crazy, shift production to the Far East, sell off to major corporate investors, coast on reputation. Their product cycle has sped up, and there is a definite decline in quality, which are usual symptoms of this process.
If you poke about, you can see exact analogues of much of their gear being sold by other big brands, with the only difference being the camo pattern. This indicates they’re all being made in the same factories to the same specs.
I like their merino stuff, where other brand analogues don’t yet seem to exist. The rest is over priced cr*p.
