does it matter if its shot at a deer park?
her first stag she been out a few times on open hill and failed to get a beast, the oppertunity was there so took it they had to be culled if it was me i wouldnt have shot it , but she was happy enough she admits its not as fun as open hill but she has a taste for it now so thats the main thing.
just the same as all the rest of forums some one has to be smart and put comments about where and how people do things.
only put the picture up as people might have been intreasted in the beast thats all.
you travel far enough across the open hill, and you'll start running into fences too! I shoot reds on what I deem 'open hill' which is approx. 10,000 acres, but the surrounding neighbours have fences to keep their sheep on their grounds,,,does that make the grounds I shoot on 'fenced' as well,,I think not...
very true and also alot of plantaions are fenced with deer in them but some people think its not right shooting them in fenced areas.
all the deer parks are fenced to keep them in and yet beast have to be culled guess thats wrong too!
What is it with preaching negative opinions on this thread?
It was right for the stalker/person squeezing the trigger so as far as I am concerned, what else matters! No suffering or cruelty involved! As said already, the beast needed culling! Whilst I personally may not have paid to stalk this animal, if the owner had asked me to shoot it, I would not have hesitated. And I would have quite rightly displayed it. It was hardly what could be called a 'canned hunt'.
How many on here who think this is not sporting also fish for trout and would happily stand at a 1 acre pond and catch fish that had been thrown in that morning? Very far removed from catching wild brownies on a river or loch that I was brought up on. If it floats your boat...
I hope she enjoyed every moment the day brought her and she also has the trophy to look at.
Remember this was this girls first beast. Let her decide with experience what is right for her.
should taste good also Rare with Cranberry jelly maybe Side salad If it nessecary get on and do it.
OK let people know but thats the real world it would be nice to live in ideal on but we dont so why gripe about what other do so much.
I have shot many things that are not sporting but its a part of true country life.Last Fallow deer I shot were in a park so what they had to be culled and that was the least stressful way for them to go.
It may be better for all trophy photos of park animals to be initially descibed as such in the first post, prevent alot of flak. Its nice to see pictures of fine animals displayed on here where ever they are shot.
I think for your first post this is well out of order, maybe if you were to provide an introduction as per the site rules then we may be able to assess the validity of your comments. Intro please.
