I am currently running Zulus 520 on 223 and use a thermal spotter - sounds like Thunder 2 is going to be best option.

You might see stuff online saying there great, but best to test first hand... thermal side is not great at all...
I'm talking about the Pard thermal side of things here...

The feedback on HIK Thunder 2 from users on here sounds promising
Thunder 2.0 is good for the money... only downside for some people is a lot prefer a tubed format these days.. I don't mind the Thunder format to be honest..

The Pulsar XG50 looks like a much better image - it’s “only” £1000 more - where does it end

I've had an XG50 and a Thunder TQ50 at the same time
I sold the XG50, but still have the Thunder
Over 12 years of using thermal imagers I have become fed up with the image on all but the very highest spec Pulsar thermals - and I don't include the XG50 in that group
Whenever I look through a Pulsar, I think I'm looking at the scene through a thin net curtain
I put up with that for a long time but my eyes ain't what they used to be and I've come to more and mor appreciate the brighter, punchier image on the HIK thermals
This is very much a personal opinion and many do prefer the Pulsar image, and that's perfectly fine, but IMHO more and more first time thermal buyers seem to prefer the brighter, higher contrast image found on the HIK thermals

I plan to put some direct comparison videos up at 100, 200 , 300 yards when I get chance with a range of scopes so these two especially will be first inline...
