Are there any charities that teach fishing to folk?

I have a lot of surplus flies and other gear that I would like to go to a good cause. TIA

Geoff Smith ( owner ) at Ladybower Fisheries ( S33 0AZ ) may be worth contacting.

Their fishery supports the British Disabled Angling Association.
They do some wonderful work with the BDAA.

i donated a load of equipment to fishing for heroes. they are all worthwhile if it helps one person get out fishing. well done on donating to whoever gets the donation.

All of the above are great. If you still have spare tackle/flies it might be worth putting some forward to the Wild Trout Trust or the Atlantic Salmon Trust for their annual auctions. Info on their respective websites.

Hi all, glad to hear the equipment has found a good home. If anything else comes up or someone else views the thread with similar intentions, please bear in mind Manderson Trust For the Disabled (Charity No. 803587). I'm one of the trustees of this charity. We're based in East Anglia and events are held to introduce and teach people, children mostly, how to fish.
