Food Business Registration (again!)

Hi all,
I have an ongoing project to build a larder facility which is part complete. I registered a few months ago to be able to deal 'in fur' with the AGHE. It went to the local authority who passed it to Trading Standards who said no processing involved so carry on. I am now trying to update the registration to be able to skin and deliver to local butcher. The LA keep trying to pass me onto the FSA and complete an application to be a 'meat handler', surely this isn't right? I've gone back to the LA and quoted bits of the wild game guide etc and I'm waiting to hear.

Anyone got any magic words to convince the LA it is them that should deal with it?

Many thanks

And after you contact the LA, as you have posted on the new National Wild Venison standard, you need to see what standards they require and register, or not.

Thanks both. LA said they would check again with the FSA and I've not heard anything today!

I'll update when I hear more. I might even do a proper write up of the whole process when I get to the end.
