I’ve been out for stalk this afternoon, got bit wet but happy two muntjac in the bag, I came home to a very tasty minced Chinese water cottage pie with melted cheese, peas and spring greens washed down with pint of Abbot ale, perfect end to a perfect day

There's a garage with a deli that I have to pass maybe once or twice a week, stopped there last week for breakfast. Half the toast in the picture is belong to my friend but everything else in the picture (incl. 11 strips of bacon hiding the hash browns) was served to me I asked for the "full Irish no pudding". I think the Polish girl behind the counter fancies me, total cost incl. coffee 7 euro and 50 cent.

There was a nice little program on the BBC World Service earlier this week that bemoaned the all but passing of the British working man’s cafe (greasy spoon). It reminded me of what we have lost in our race to embrace the cappuccino and mashed 🥑 on toast!

I have to go to one of those avocado abominations for a 3 course lunch meeting tomorrow.

I have the menu sussed out and it just doesn't suit me at all because I'd put more meat in a toasted sandwich.

Hopefully I'm wrong and the artistic presentation will fill my appetite as well as emptying my gift voucher.

The wife’s away on our youngest daughter’s hen do, our little boy is at a sleepover and our foster lad is away on respite, that would normally mean a weekend of stalking but ill health means cooking instead. Roe heart with Apple.

At first I thought your man was after bringing me a dessert for after my soup but the idea is you pour the soup over the concoction in the bowl.

Feather blade of beef for the mains was tasty enough.

The cheeses came from west Cork, probably the best part of the lunch.
