Hi all,
Looking for suggestions/pointers on what constitutes a food-safe pump (outside of the obvious lubricant contamination etc) and any recommendations from experience if you've got one.
Garage is undergoing a a bit of a conversion to have a dedicated brewery wall which will constitute of various vats, mash tuns, barrels and so on. I'm in a bit of a pickle trying to think of how to have it laid out in a way that is convenient to use but able to be gravity-fed, syphon or no, when transferring from vessel to vessel as the volume of batches will be in the hundreds of litres eventually.
Don't think it's practical to rely on gravity to do all the hard work for me so I'm left looking for pumps. I'm struck by how much cheap-looking tat there is out there filled with all the buzz words you could want when looking for a pump that is safe to use with foodstuffs, or stuff that looks pukka but is expensive enough to warrant a bit of research before purchase.
Has anyone got recommendations please?
Cheers
