Wanted: Forestof Dean

Can anyone help???
Im after some land to shoot on in the forest or next to it, ill pay for a lease or any fee a farmer/owner wants as long as its not a stupid price.
Please PM me with any info .

I think you have more chance of leasing a stalkers wife/daughter for a few hours on a weekend. Good luck..

The FoD is a bit of an insular community, I grew up in Monmouth on the edge of the forest and found it almost impossible to get stalking as an "outsider". You've got Buckley's as the Aussies would say but your best shot is at the edges of the boar expansion, maybe Monmouthshire.

After many adverts in local papers , plus trips down meeting people still nowt , but not giving up yet.

For what it’s worth my experience of getting some shooting in that area.A friend put me in touch with a farmer up that way went and met him,had a good chat sorted out areas etc one visit later all called off due to local pressures and veiled threats to him about allow non locals on HIS land.

starr shot , thanks for your reply, I hate to say it but I think your right, I love the area and plan to retire down there, ive been looking at renting or buying a house around the Soudley area, but if I cant get any permissions down that way I will have to look elsewhere .

I doubt Elmer would be giving up anything in terms of permission. He could certainly take you out on the boar though!!
