Nice offer! Get out in the car and make it your business to chat to farmers, that’s what I used to do, and usually half gave you permission to shoot fox/rabbits. Once they know you it’s easy to get more as you can reference one to a neighbour. Deer permission come very quickly when you’re knocking foxes down for them!

I used to get up early of a weekend and drive around looking for farmers tending stock, stop and chat.
That was my experience in Cheshire anyway.

All deer species are a basic no no in East Kent. I lived there for 25 odd years and never heard of sightings. Chilham as a start and west or north from there would be the areas to look at. Best of luck, there are some fox shooters around but I think it might be a closed shop in East Kent.

lots of the permission i shoot over in east kent have never said they have a deer problem and several no longer want foxes shot as they are arable farmers and the foxes take the rabbits.

I make a point of looking out on local Facebook groups for posts from farms after work. I do IT and networking, and saw a post about wanting a Starlink installer and WiFi covering 3 buildings. I figured it looked like a farm so I massively low ball the quote to get the job and have a promised chat about deer management.

I drive up the driveway and the deer are both sides of the drive, just lazing about



I install the starlink, hook it up doing massive cable runs, tidying everything up and pinning it all round the barns, running access points at the two points that'll cover the whole yard.

I'm there about 5-6 hours... Then I get to have my chat about the deer...

Yes, nobody stalks here currently. I don't want them to. I like the deer and I'm fully aware they're causing issues for the neighboring landholders.
