Fortis FKA Country covers, why bad press?

have noticed a few people on here giving this company bad reviews.
What's the general vibe with this?
Is it quality, waterproofing or service?
I know they are on this forum too so I would approximate people are respectful in their comments.

I would love to support uk companies like this when I have the funds too. Would certainty rather give it to them than Harkila or the like that I feel are riding on a brand name and not quality alone.

Looking forward to hearing peoples experiences.

I have a smock at work - waterproof. I have a stalking smock at home - waterproof. I have a Field jacket at home - waterproof. And I have a two pairs of Falkland trousers - waterproof.
'nuff said.

I have the Fortis Breeks. They are completely waterproof and very comfortable. The adjustable waist system is great but you cant easily wear a belt. They've had their first season going through brambles and they look as new.

I also have the Arktis B511 shooting coat which is near on identical to the Falklands jacket that Fortis sell. Again 100% waterproof from my experience so far and very well made. It is also incredibly warm with the liner jacket zipped in.

I believe that Arktis used to make the clothing for Country Covers, they decided to start making the kit themselves (using the same designs). Next on my list is the Arktis waterproof trousers.

Personally I would recommend both companies.

I buy fortis because I want tough reliable, practical products that's made in the UK. When the product is built to be waterproof they have been reliable in the worst downpour. Also most brands don't go to my down to my waist size and the trousers are adjustable up or down a size so I always get a perfect fit. Yes you have to wait a bit for them to make it but it gives years of service so I don't mind.

Utter utter crap, the only coat I've had that I'd be GUARANTEED to get wet in!!! Leaked like a sieve and was a total sweat suit!!! Quite an accomplishment!!! The guy I dealt with was full of *****, had to get trading standards involved before I got a refund, there are 5/6 keeper's round here will tell you the same, I've mates in the Highlands and spoke to a couple from Dorset/Devon area that say the same. Perhaps the non water proof stuff could be good enough and I'd have tried it, but never as long as I've got a hole in my arse will EVER deal with them again unless new management arrives and I'd never recomend anyone get thier stuff, if some are happy with it, fair enough, but me? Never!!!!
