fox hides

I have tried googling a few tanneries in Scotland and the UK to see if they could tan a fox hide for me. No replies from any of them yet. Has anyone on here tried to tan a fox hide before, and did you have any success?

Get a "white tan" kit from Snowdonia Supplies, and do it yourself.
@T.eddie had great success using the white tan on a deer skin (even though the product is more suitable for smaller animals like fox, rabbit, etc), and I've had good results using their K-tan for deer hides.

Yeah 100% agree with this, the kind are fantastic and providing your willing to put the effort in you can get a nice hide at the end

Think I’ll give it a go. Always been nervous trying this process myself, but I guess there are always more fox hides out there to learn on!

I've used their K-Tan on deer and sheep hides, does the job. The Alum tan (white) washes out if you need to clean the skin in future, K-Tan is chrome based so permanent.

I'd recommend looking into using a pressure washer with rotating head for the fleshing. It saves a lot of time and effort.
