I am very surprised at the amount of virtue-signaling outrage over this non-entity of a story to be honest, even on here.
Admittedly his choice of advertising what he has done on social media was poor, likewise his choice of words, but for members to talk of him "beating to death" a fox, as if he was a Cosa Nostra enforcer? Ridiculous.
He used a suitable tool, that was to hand, to dispatch a fox that was caught up in netting / fencing. Looking at the incident objectively a baseball bat is eminently suitable for that purpose. One swift blow, distance maintained, job done.
As for those arguing that he'll be in trouble for possession of sporting equipment in his own home? I am not even sure where to begin on that one...
I rather suspect that the main drive of this story was actually more to do with perceived class issues, his position or political allegiances in relation to one of the most well known days in the Hunting calendar.
