Seeing as how Britain is the home base for side by side shotguns, I thought I might share this here. I recently came into possession of a nice Luigi Franchi side by side. It was made in 1955 and has a splinter fore end. The gun has hardly been used and came to me in the original cardboard box complete with warranty (expired). The action is tight, the blueing is perfect, and there's some nice engraving on the box lock. It's not an ejector and is chambered in 23/4. The recoil pad was pretty well buggered so I replaced it. It's one of those things that you don't have an immediate use for, but just liked on sight.
