Hi All,
thank you for let me join. Have been reading the forums for long time. Plenty of info on hunting, shooting and firearms. Also pretty agreable people around, it seems.
As a non registered user I got tired of not being able to i) Seeing pictures ii) posting. So I decided to register.
Also, after a couple years reading, I came to the conclusion that many members are well versed in firearms so, selfishly, I thought I could get good info re technical questions on sako rifles. I own a few shotguns (too many) and a few bolt action rifles (not enough).
As of myself I have been hunting since I was 8 or so, I do not remember. I started going after sparrows with a diy catapult and I transitioned to an airgun as soon as I could get hold of a pretty beat-up one. Then I bought my first decent airgun after laboriously saving for quite some time. I have hunted mainly small game: Rabbits, partridges, hares, quail, some foxes. Ocasionally wild boar. I stopped hunting when got the kids. Then picked up a few years ago, more interested in wild boar than small game. Also rabbits as they have become a pest in my area. Now I am again on hiatus because the elderlies require some attention during the weekends. So I enjoy very much reading about hunting and firearms. That's it.

Welcome to the forum.

I'm sure you will enjoy all the write-ups and knowledge of the place
Thanks. I have been enjoying it for some time now. It is very comprehensive: all types of hunting, stalks, safaris, driven hunts, firearms, rifles, gunsmithing, dogs, countryside.
As I wrote in my introduction at present I spend much time reading about these topics and browsing the web.
And this site is one of the best I have found. And the only one I have registered together with Sako Collectors Dicussion Forums (with the same nick by the way).
Regards

This is the forum I login to the most.

Lots of help on hand, and some very experienced folks to learn from

bienvenido francisco!
Soy medio español, mi madre es de La Línea de la Concepción, Cádiz.

I also share an interest in wild boar - however there is none where I currently live just outside london. I have never hunted in Zaragosa, but I have a few monterias planned across andalucia this season. happy hunting 🐗

It is not. My actual name is Francisco. I just anglicized and shortened it at the same time to make it simpler for the forum.
Thanks for the welcome
Ah, Frank,
It was written tongue firmly in cheek. 😘
Ken.
Ps. Francisco sounds nicer.

Sorry. Didn't get the nuance. 😄
You'll agree Frank is indeed shorter. Even at home I am not called Francisco.
Anyway I'll leave it that way. It is the nick I use in this and another forum. Cheers

Bet there is/was someone that used the longer name every time she was angry with you 🙂

Hi half compatriot. Zaragoza is not the nicest countryside to go hunting as it sits in the Ebro river valley and it is a semiarid region for its most part. I use to go hunting to the neighboring province of Huesca, closer to the Pyrenees.
As for the lack of hogs in London don't worry. It is just a matter of time. We have had recently wild boar running along the streets in Zaragoza. Their numbers are rising.
Good luck down south in your monterías.
