Freezer proof plastic boxes

I have a chest freezer and have used some cheap plastic storage boxes to organise venison and meat in. The problem is the plastic becomes really brittle and I've cracked and split all the boxes trying to get the lids off.

Before I go and spend money on some decent RUB (Really Useful Box) branded ones and find out these too don't cope with the temperature does anyone have a tested solution or product?

No idea if they are any good though.

Not plastic just use good strong cardboard boxes like the butcher supplies a lamb in.
You can write on them and adjust there size and there is no problem with them going soft as no moisture in the freezer.
Plus there free

After seeing some Alaskan's on the travel channel wrap meat in what looks like brown paper, I tried greaseproof paper, which seemed ok for short storage anyway, and was easier to separate from a freezer bag.

i use heavy duty polythene bags, i gave up with plastic box's after having the issues you mentioned. the oly time i use anything like that is when i do a batch of burgers.
