Just thought it would be interesting to compare prices being paid for Deer Carcases by Game Dealers across the country
How much is yours paying per lb/kilo please and for what species :?:

i think you will find game dealers are a closed shop in that they all agree a price each month by phone/computer etc and it will only be pence if any difference.my dealer is back to £3 a kilo roe/fallow and red £2.50 munty head shot, take 50p a kilo off for body shot

Nope. I work at one, that's not how it works.

Get food registered and cut out the middle man!! I supply a local butcher who can't get enough and get £3.80/kg for all species with no deductions but I have to skin them. Last munty I took in as a whole carcass I got just under £30 for!! They only want Fallow haunches and shoulders as there's no demand for the saddles which surprises me so I get to keep the best bits too!! Win win!!

pauls at beacon hill or vicars at ashampstead will pay you more, providing you have a trained hunters number.

Anyone selling game to Approved Game Handling Establishment (AGHE) MUST have a trained hunter number and also MUST be registered as a Food Business with their local council.

No demand for saddles? Wow, I am really out of touch with the market, never heard that before in over 25 years of selling carcasses.
