Garmin Alpha 100 + T5 collars frequency issues

I have bought 2 T5 collars and an Alpha 100. I have bought these in Germany for a little under the price and can clearly see CE sign on the collars and was looking into Alpha 100 files and found also proofs of EU frequency support.

I have thought this was a good deal, price-wise, but....

Now, these collars and the handheld do not work with other devices from friends in Bosnia, i.e. I can't connect my device to their collars and they can't connect my collars to their devices(can with the code but not by simple discovery).

I order to find out what could be the issue and compare, I have borrowed one device and one collar from a fried of mine. His collar has no CE but FCC sign and still works with his device, which is(as per the files on it) also EU device. I suppose these were somehow changed internally to support one another.

Now, my question, how do I make my devices interoperable with all the others here? Does someone have some experience with these issues?

If there is someone who I could share experiences with, I would be glad.

FCC approval is US. The EU Garmins use different frequencies to the US ones. Garmin are very aware of the issue and have I believe blocked US devices being updated in the EU preventing use.

There are different frequencies for parts of the world to avoid interference with emergency sectors. If you try to update your American sets usually it will wipe everything off and then refuse the upgrade
The alpha 100 and t5 are now obsolete stock and have been replaced by newer versions.
