Garmin Alpha 100 US + TT 15 US version in Europe (blocked radio)

Hi all,

On a recent trip to the US I bought the Garmin Alpha 100 / TT 15 collar for my Vizsla. Unfortunately, upon arriving home in Sweden I've found that it does not work...radio frequency disabled. I'm hoping to find a work-around as this was quite an expensive investment and returning it is not a simple option.
Any tips? Hacked or EU firmware / simple setting change / etc?

Thank you - he's been a great help. Glad to find so many friendly people here, I thought I was at a dead end. I'll post my results here in case anyone else stumbles on this thread like I did.

You could have bought a legal Garmin in Sverige. Widforss have them for a bit over 6000SEK. Typical Swedish hunter, short arms and deep pockets ;).

Do you know if the EU/Sverige version works with a US versioned e-collar like the TT-15? Or is it GPS only?

So, I bought a swedish Alpha 100 and it will not pair with the US TT-15 collar. Just a heads up for anyone who happens to find this post.

Also a heads up. If you have Alpha 100 HWID 1562 you will not be able to downgrade your firmware below 4.7. And so you cannot get to 3.1 (the pre-blocked firmware rev).

sorry for interfering in the discussion. i have tt15f which is connected to alpha 100f. how do i make tt15f to tt15 to connect to alpha 100

Garmin are making it increasingly more difficult to use bootlegged units here in the U.K.

The old astro 320’s ans DC40/50 were ans still are bombproof.

i so know the downgrade can be done on some units!

Did it work here or did you update it?
