Geco non Toxic Ammo

This is just a shout out for Geco ammo.
Ill Caveat this with Ive not shot an animal yet.
I decided to transfer over to non-toxic before the rush as I know it can sometimes take a while to find the right ammo etc for your rifle.
Well I hit the nail on the head with my first go. After a good chat with the guys in Malmo he suggested as a first stop to try the Geco 136 grain for my 30-06.
so my rifle is the Bergara B14 Wildneress thumbhole in Carbon.
I put two down to the target to get zeroing point another two for final adjustments and four to double check. I could not believe at 100 yards how accurate these were. Grouped un 1/2 inch.
Dialed in the swaro at 250 and another tight couple. These will be tested heavily next few weeks so will feedback on their ability to kill effectively.

Geco Zero is good, but I prefer RWS Evo Green.

I’ve only heard good things about this ammo, have picked up a couple of boxes to try for factory only permissions.

I have a plethora of .308 Federal Premium 150gr Nosler Partition.

I had to go 'lead-free' for a week on an Estate, and so bought the Geco 136gr. I had to adjust my scope 'one click' to bring it back onto my zero.

They work just fine on deer, although at (then) £52 for twenty - they are not a 'plinking' round.

Geco Zero is Zinc cored and tends to expand rapidly in the deer leaving similar damage to a lead cored bullet, but rather than lead shards in the carcass, you have zinc shards spread throughout.

RWS Evo Green is similar.

I would suggest a monolithic solid copper such as the Barnes TTSX, Sako Powerblade, RWS HIT, Fox Classic Hunters or Yew Trees are much better as the bullet stays in one piece and metal contamination of carcass is minimal.
