Nope, have continued using them and they’re actually spot on, wouldn’t change from them now. No excessive damage on reds, but decisive kills which I like!
These rounds would not group well in either my 20” S20 or T3X (both have same D18 barrel) in .308. Bought ti try because they were significantly cheaper than my 130gr VOR-TX but I reload that at a fraction of the cost (£1.15 a round) using the TTSX head. Never had meat damage like the pictures above with TTSX.
I have indeed, probably 30 red hinds and calves to date via a Sako 85 on the open hill and in summary in every way they behave like lead more than a monolith of copper.
They make a mess of roe at sub 100m as lead does in that calibre.
My only question mark is how well they are stabilising at 200m plus after some recent tries at paper (Vs goings) and, of course that they get moved by wind more than my old heavier lead round did in that calibre
Old thread but thanks for all the input - going to get some this week after that. Need to go lead free on a farm and quite a lot of that is 150-200m Roe, at home it's a bit shorter distance but would rather have a clean kill and sacrifice a shoulder. Very helpful.
