Going working in Okehampton and living??????

Hi All,
Look's like a new job down in Okehampton so now
need to put all my good's in storage and find a house. Got to
sell mine first though in this economic country of our's!!!
The way it's looking we will be down in 2 to 3 week's
and nowhere to live yet all this from a phone call last week,
so a meet with some local likeminded people and a beer or
two would help us settle down. The thing's one has to do
to make the wife's Dream of living in Devon come True AHH!!!
but she love's me for it HA HA.

Nice part of the world down there, my missus is from near North Tawton so we go down there on a regular basis. Unfortunately not down there any time soon. Good luck with the move down, if you settle I'll let you know next time I'm in the locality! It's a while since I stopped for a pint in Okey but if I remember rightly the White Hart is alright for a pint. Loads of cracking boozers in the local area though, one place I can't recommend highly enough for really good ale and great food is the old Tom Cobley Inn in Samford Courtney, a great feed, great ale and great craic. I'm hungry just thinking about it!!

Thank's for the info went to the Tor's at Belstone
on Sunday good food and the coke was ok!!!! me having to drive.
Now that you mentioned Tom Cobley we must get in there
and sample the good's. We will look forward to a meet and chin
wag in the future, after yesterday's phone call everything in place
and they want me down in two week's Frantic packing and removal's
now.

I was just about to correct myself! Got the places mixed up, the maid put me straight when I told her! It's the New Inn at Sampford Courtney, used to be a good pint in there too.

Well the time has come start work on Monday 4/10 in Okehampton, Does anyone
know of any clay shoot's in that area and also looking for somewhere to zero my rifle's
ready for my trip to Caithness in Nov,

There might be nearer ones, as for the rifle, can't help I'm afraid.
