Lovely colours on these. I have seen more than normal of these this year in Cornwall, hope it's a positive trend as it's great to see small flocks of these in the hedgerows.

We have three that regularly come into our garden to feed. The other half puts out some black seeds and they seem to love them.

Only this morning the wife asked me what the beautiful bird on the feeder was, yes a Goldfinch.

Bonnie birds, we have them all round us. Can get every other bird to come to feeders but not them. Tried a seperate feeder filled with niger seeds, still no joy.

We have them on my feeder in Ealing but not all year round. Same as greenfinches. But I saw some last weekend for the first time in a while.

Goldfinches love niger seed....... put some out and you will never get rid of them.. until its finished.

Thanks for that - I'll give it a try and see if I can lure them into my garden and away from the hedgerows!
