Looking for a bit of advice here guys, just purchased a new 7.5 x50i spectra.Took it out tonight to try it out, when I turned it to full illumination in the dark the centre dot worked fine but there was loads of small red dots all over the front lens ,is that the norm with them or is it faulty.Apart from that was quite impressed with the scope for what I paid.

I've noticed similar with other scopes, I've always assumed it's normal. Dial the brightness down and it'll go away, in brighter ambient conditions you can turn the brightness up without seeing the reflections (or whatever they are)

Is it possible its reflecting dirt on the lens? As above though, I usually find the settings on illuminated reticles too bright for low light use, unless at the lowest setting

I've noticed this also on other scopes too. I put it down to "splatter" during the laser etching process and maybe why some manufacturers fit an additional piece of glass over the etched reticle to mitigate the issue.
