Grass - last cut

Was hoping to have given the lawns their last cut of the year here in the borders today, but weather seems worryingly warm for next ten days!

Can’t imagine cutting the grass mid-end Nov!! What’s going on! Roses still budding and some flowering!!!

What are you gardeners thinking and planning ?

Weather has changed.
I remember going tatty picking as a wee laddie with hard frosts most days from the start of October.
So far we’ve only had two days with mild frosts.
Locking up late last night and felt like an August night rather than October/November.
Cut the grass week past Wednesday and if the temps stay high will possibly do another next week.

Just planted my first summer veg next in a month, mowing lawns weekly, hang on it’s spring/ summer here

Just got my first ever lawn
Not a clue when to cut it but it’ll need scarrified and seeded come spring

Bought myself a lovely Webb roller mower as well

We don't have any lawn but our flower garden is going potty! Our Standard Rose finished blooming a few months ago but it is now in full bloom again! The Fuscias also finished flowering some 6 or 7 weeks ago but they are also are in full bloom again.
The weather has got the flowers that are growing in our garden completely confused!

Put my robot mower in winter storage 3 weeks ago. The grass has grown very little. I'll clip the hedges and tidy the garden. Next week ready for the winter.

I've just done my "last" lawn cut this afternoon, as much to pick up the fallen leaves as trim the late growth of grass.
Hopefully, that's it for this year.🤞🤞

The grass is still growing well down here in Devon and I'm still picking Dahlias for sale. Winter wheat and barley is in and growing well (possibly too well).
Until the sea mist rolled in this afternoon, it was almost Spring-like.

Cut my lawn two days ago. But I doubt it will be the last time this year. Which I am kind of pleased about as the mustard on my shoot was late in and is mostly ankle high, hopefully the weather will be conducive to that continuing to grow well too.

Weathers gone bonkers, doesn’t seem to be the seasons like we used to have.... traditionally the grass spurted twice a year, spring and autumn to feed the animals.

Just yesterday I saw wood pigeons mating and nest building.
