What a lovely shotgun! I bought one a couple years ago just because and I was trying to figure out the date of manufacture. I found a fellow on a forum who had a Greener book that listed years of manufacture in relation to serial numbers. I can send the scan over if you like so you can check the date?

Don't be. That price tells me that there were likely some serious "issues" with it - note the advice in the stock pinned at the head - that would have cost money to put aright.

Turns out I can shoot it as well. Absolutely delighted. Especially the quartering away hen at 40yds plus! Numerous squirrels and a pigeon. Missed a few but no worse than normal.

Can someone shed some light on its date of manufacturing? I always thought the colour case hardening was during Webleys ownership??
